West Bay which featured on the TV drama Broadchurch is only five miles away and the spectacular World Heritage Coastline is within easy driving distance. Lyme Regis and Charmouth (famous for fossils), Abbotsbury, and the county town of Dorchester a short drive away and the lively market town of Bridport with its an array of eclectic shops, art deco cinema, Arts Centre and every Wednesday and Saturday the famous street market selling artisan food and bric-a-brac For those who love walks and nature you could not be in a better place with walks in every direction, Head to Eggardon Hill which lies about 1.5 miles south-east of the village. On the summit is a 14-hectare Iron Age Hill Fort with amazing views of Dorset AONB and Lyme Bay, or discover the ancient woodland of Powerstock Common.
